Manitonquat: The Circle Way
Mutual love and respect, meeting in circles and respect for all creation are the foundation of Manitonquats work. He was born July 17, 1929. His second name is ‘Medicine Story’ which shows him in the light of a storyteller. He is the keeper of native lore of the Wampanoag Nation of Massachusetts and ceremonial medicine man of the Assonet Band. He co-founded the Tribal-Healing Council and is author of eleven books.
His philosophy is expressed through the ‘Circle Way’. Every year he is on tour throughout Europe and the United states as a living example of the junction between western civilization and native tribe culture offering ‘Circle Way Camps’ together with his Swedish partner Ellika.
